Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-03

SaveAny is built to need as little of your data as possible. This policy explains what we do and do not collect.

Optional accounts

You can use the free downloader without registering. If you create an account, we store your email, password hash, account status and session records. We store a password hash rather than your password.

Links and activity

We process pasted links to find media and may cache results in memory for about ten minutes. We also record the source URL, media metadata, resolve and download outcomes, timestamps and, when signed in, your account ID for history, usage limits and troubleshooting. Activity and security records are normally retained for 90 days.

Temporary media files

Our server temporarily downloads media for transfer, merging or conversion. Temporary files are removed when the transfer finishes or cleanup runs; downloaded media is not kept in the account history.

Network information and retention

We record IP addresses, derived region and network operator information, user-agent information and a hashed IP identifier for security and usage limits. Raw IP addresses and derived location fields in activity and security records are normally cleared after 30 days. Administrators can access operational records. Restricted-access backups can retain earlier records until those backups are removed. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising profiles.

Sessions, source platforms and Stripe

Signing in uses an HttpOnly session cookie. Requests are sent to source platforms and, where configured, network providers to retrieve media. Server-managed source-platform cookies stay on the backend and are not returned to the frontend. Stripe handles checkout and payment details under its own privacy policy; we store customer and subscription identifiers, billing status and plan details, rather than card details. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
